My Lebanon is a community storytelling campaign that seeks to create an alternative narrative about what it means to be Lebanese in the face of sectarian religious speech used by many groups seeking to divide people for the sake of power and gain. By shedding light on personal, lived stories of diversity in collective and personal memories of the very people of Lebanon, Jessica’s campaign aims to show that speaking of diversity is at the core of the Lebanese identity. In her own words: “Lebanon was not born in the civil war, celebrating diversity is being Lebanese.”
