In terms of shaping public opinion, we cannot understate the role of the media in shaping our social realities – for better and for worse. Media/tion) is a media-myth busting campaign that aims to improve the public perception of relations between religion (Islam) and politics in Bosnia and Herzegovina. A context rich with examples of diversity and conflict, Maida’s campaign is a media-based intervention that creates a platform to interrogate and unpack the distortions – which lead to conflict between religious and ethnic groups. Media/tion is an online portal that focuses on disseminating established historical examples and publicly sourced input about the myriad of interfaith and intercultural activity that give a more accurate picture of how coexistence and friendship exist in B&H.
